Kune - Signs of Love
They would always tell me, during my reign of engagement, how the first year of marriage is always the hardest. To expect a lot of bickering, adjustments, headaches... basically, in the risible words of my younger brother: the kind of drama you save for your mama.
I, for one, can't really vouch to that notion since I had a marvelous time.
From chocobo Hot and Cold to Sphere Break, canary and I did everything together. Though the trip we took to Mt. Gagazet wasn't at all to my liking, since freezing winds and wet snow does nothing for my swag, the experience ended up euphoric once we reached the springs.
Even now I find myself dazzled whenever I reminisce on that moment since when my canary is in the mood to tango, those sessions are always the best.
One of the things I adored about Paine is the fact that I could travel long distance with her on my Silver Dragon. All the other girls that I had dated would scream their heads off when we'd take to the skies but not my canary
Kune - Hot N Cold
Ms. Brooke: Ok... (She was writing something down on a note pad) your brother, Mr. Tribal, referred you and your wife to this session. Do you understand why you are here today?
Paine: Because he won't wear any damn pants.
Kuja: (His eye twitch but he merely examined his nails as he crossed one leg over the other) I have an inkling.
Ms. Brooke: Your brother, Zidane, stated in his letter that you and your wife fight every other week. Is this true?
Kuja: That's correct.
Ms. Brooke: May I ask Mr. Tribal...
Kuja: Kuja is fine -.-
Ms. Brooke: I'm sorry (clears her throat) Kuja, how long have you and Paine been married?
Kuja: Three years.
Paine: It'll be four next Saturday.
Ms. Brooke: Ok... (Takes note) and are you two the same age?
Paine: No. I just turned 22 yesterday.
Ms. Brooke: Alright then. I presume you are the elder partner?
Kuja: I'm not old >:/
Ms. Brooke: Of course your not (chuckles softly) I meant---
Ms. Brooke: Huh?
Kuja: I'm 28 years old -.-
Ms. Brooke: Oh, right
AmusedSo as I was browsing through Tumblr, since I like to collect pictures, I stumbled across some interesting conversations going on. Some folks were talking about me along with the Kuja x Paine couple - I guess cause I'm pretty much the only one around here who commissions & writes about them since others who supposedly ship the pair is either too lazy to chip in or would rather make the claim on my commissions to "look good" but not own up to it - and I couldn't help raising an eyebrow at all the gibberish they had the nerve to say O__o
Not once have I not implied or stated that the Kuja x Paine pairing is odd because it is. It's not just because they come from different games given fans were shipping the Kuja x Sephiroth couple before Dissidia even existed =/ I'd say they are odd more so cause of who they are and not what the stereotypes or fandumb has to say about their characterization.
I also posted, for those who ACTUALLY read, on the blog at my group that quote:
Blood BrothersBrookie always holds my hand when we cross the street. She's never given a reason for it, she just does it. It's become this unspoken rule with us that whenever we cross the street together, she slips her hand in mine and I lace my fingers through hers and we walk hand-in-hand until we reach the other side and she drops her hand and we both wipe our palms on our jeans. Brookie's a little scared of crossing the street. Her poppa died in a car crash when we were six. He was a pedestrian. She's never gotten over it.
Brookie is my best friend going on sixteen years now, which is pretty impressive considering we're both sixteen. We don't have some cute little story about how we were born in the same hospital on the same day or about how our mothers were best friends long before they were pregnant with us and somehow passed on that bond while we were still in utero. No, Brookie and I met the same way ever
